Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies across various platforms, including mobile and web applications. Responsibilities Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts for functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. Automate test cases using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Conduct mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms to verify app functionality, usability, and performance across different devices and operating systems. Perform API testing for RESTful web services using tools like Postman or SoapUI; validate data exchange through APIs ensuring robustness and security. Analyze system requirements and business specifications to identify test scenarios; collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements. Utilize version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or SVN to manage test scripts and documentation effectively. Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps to facilitate seamless release management. Conduct root cause analysis on defects; work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes. Support performance testing efforts using LoadRunner or similar tools to ensure system stability under load conditions. Document defects thoroughly in QA/QC tools like HP ALM or Jira; track progress from identification through resolution. Engage in requirement gathering sessions; contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by providing quality assurance insights throughout project phases. Experience Proven experience in software testing within Agile or Waterfall development environments. Hands-on expertise with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver integrated with TestNG or JUnit for Java-based projects. Strong knowledge of mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms using relevant emulators or real devices. Familiarity with API testing using RESTful services; experience with
JSON/XML
data formats is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, Bash (Unix shell), or C# for automation tasks. Experience working with databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB; capable of performing data analysis skills and writing
SQL/PL-SQL
queries for validation purposes. Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps for streamlined deployment workflows. Understanding of SDLC methodologies like Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall; ability to adapt testing strategies accordingly. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform system troubleshooting and root cause analysis efficiently.
