Test Engineering Manager

RF Test Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and document RF ATE Test Systems primarily using Python for space and defense applications. The role involves developing company-level software architecture, refining software development processes, and interfacing with product engineers to validate device performance. You will also be responsible for maintaining legacy ATE software and migrating it to modern platforms. Responsibilities Design, develop, deploy, and document RF ATE Test Systems using Python. Develop and refine software architecture and reuse strategy. Create and refine software development and management processes including version control, code review, and coding standards. Interface with product engineers to develop ATE test solutions. Create test data sheets for customer reporting. Create, maintain, and update data processing applications. Use data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to generate customer data packages. Maintain and update legacy ATE software (LabVIEW and Keysight / Agilent VEE) and migrate it to modern platforms. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science. Expertise with Python and data processing libraries (Numpy, SciPy). Proficiency in data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Plotly). 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong knowledge of electronics and RF principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency with graphical programming languages such as LabVIEW and Keysight / Agilent VEE. Experience developing automated tests with RF test equipment. Ability to understand and create documentation (schematics, test specifications, etc.). Proficiency with SQL-based databases. Experience in RF space hardware and test flow processes. Experience managing a small test engineering team. Expert knowledge of RF test equipment such as PNA, VNA, PNAX, PSA, AWG, and BERT. Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced environment located in Camarillo, California. The work schedule follows a 9/80 pattern, offering a balance between work and personal life. The role involves collaboration with top A&D primes in the country, providing a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Camarillo, CA.
