Job Description:
One of our clients is looking for a Compliance GNSS Lab Test Engineer in San Jose, CA onsite role 5 days a week. If you would be interested in this opportunity please apply here.
  • Validate GNSS and cellular positioning performance on mobile devices across all carriers.
  • Validate 3GPP cellular and hybrid positioning technologies, including ECID and OTDOA, with detailed analysis of LPP, SUPL, and RRLP protocol messaging and procedures.
  • Execute and analyze
CTIA GNSS
OTA and E911 certification test cases, ensuring compliance with carrier and regulatory positioning requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Python automation scripts for test execution, log collection, and data analysis.
  • Automate device control and testing workflows using ADB scripting for Android platforms and contribute to development of test automation frameworks and regression test environments.
  • Execute suites using Keysight, Spirent, or Rohde & Schwarz test platforms
  • Perform GNSS performance tests and analysis involving Lab KPI such as TTF, Positioning stats and sensitivity.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and report issues to engineering teams.
  • Support GNSS debugging and mobile device troubleshooting for readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including modem, GNSS software teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow all the company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and good quality. Requirements
  • MS in Telecommunications, Electrical engineering or related fields
  • 2-5 years of laboratory experience in mobile devices testing
  • Strong understanding of 3GPP positioning technologies (ECID, OTDOA) and knowledge of 3GPP specifications related to LTE/NR positioning.
  • Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR technologies
  • Experience with E911 positioning validation and certification requirements.
  • Strong Python scripting for automation.
  • Experience with GNSS or wireless test platforms (Keysight / Spirent / Rohde & Schwarz).
