Internship, Wireless Connectivity Software Validation Engineer, Electronic Devices (Fall 2026) Tesla Motors, Inc. 20.00 - 50.00 USD paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, California, Palo Alto Apr 21, 2026 What to Expect Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue throughfall term (endingapproximately December 2026) or continuing into Winter/Spring 2027 if available and there is opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.

Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.

About the Team Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Software ValidationEngineering Intern for the Wireless Systems team to help develop and validate high quality wireless technologies for existing and future Self-Driving & Optimus platform initiatives. This role involves designing and implementing test cases, troubleshooting and validation of various software bugs and features, enhancing Test automation for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular technologies and closely working with Development, other QA, hardware and program management teams internally and externally with vendors and Tesla partners. What You'll Do Design end-to-end test plans, procedures and scripts for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular systems Bring up and maintain test setups and apparatus for validation cycles Root-cause issues reported by internal, other Development and QA teams and customer feedback Provide support to Software Development and Manufacturing teams Enhance Test automation frameworks and data analysis tools Analyze telemetry data and identify fleet wide issues Identify areas of opportunity and implement improvements, knowledge sharing and best practices Drive various tasks to completion and be the connoisseur of great quality product What You'll Bring Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering, or a related field Strong Python, Perl, or Ruby programming skills, familiarity with common python packages Knowledge and/or work experience in wireless connectivity domain Knowledge and/or work experience with software testing life cycle and QA processes Good understanding of Wireless technologies, preferably Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular Working experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular troubleshooting/debugging tools (i.e. Wireshark, Ellysis, Frontline, log analysis, etc.) is a plus Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
