- You will define and implement validation plans for regulatory-facing software features.
- You will perform debugging of marginal/failure tests and will interact with multi-functional teams like RFHW/Antenna/Product Design/EE to drive design changes and address issues.
- You will maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration.
- You will help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning and delivering final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.
","responsibilities":"Characterization of Apple wireless products towards compliance of WW requirements. Perform initial HW/SW bring up on Prototype Hardware. Review World-wide Wireless Regulatory/Compliance specs and develop test plans. Define RF Test Automation requirements & work with internal automation team towards automation development. Collaborate with fellow team members towards debugging / resolution of Wireless compliance related HW issues. Collaborate with HW Design, FEM Vendors, Chipset vendors, Antenna, and Product design teams to come up with HW fixes. Perform Schematic/layout reviews and HW fixes via mockups. Driving Chipset design requirements based on RF/Regulatory compliance requirements. Defining & implementing various SW/FW features including Regulatory Power tables. Perform RF/EM Simulations for Schematic/Layout using various simulation tools. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree preferred. Detailed understanding of at least one Wireless technology including 5G FR1, FR2, GSM, UMTS, CDMA, LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth. Understanding of Antenna characteristics impact to radiated testing. Familiarity with radiated test setups, radiated chamber calibration and use. Proficiency in MATLAB programming, or, ADS, CST, HFSS simulation. Knowledge on worldwide Regulatory standards in relation to carry a product to certification. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Experience and in-depth understanding of System Transceiver RF Parametric and RF component level characteristics and behaviors. Working experience with lab equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and call boxes (i.e., CMW/8960/UXM). Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
