Job Description
Validation engineer
Sunnyvale, CA-94085

In this role you will be responsible for setting up and running data gathering and performance tests on Apple and third-party hardware as part of validating touchscreens. Put your creativity, hardware background, programming, and problem solving skills to the test in a fast-paced environment.
Description:
- Design and assemble accurate test systems including development boards and standard bench-top lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters and function generators.
- Characterize and validate electrical systems in product applications.
- Document, analyze, and communicate test issues and processes.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with hands-on test execution, characterization, and/or board-level validation.
- Familiarity with noise mitigation, including shielding and grounding, in making small-signal measurements.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators and spectrum analyzers.
- Working knowledge of macOS, Numbers, Pages, Keynote and Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Meticulous organizational skills.
- Ability to work with Apple engineering teams to root-cause failures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Apple's hardware products.
- Experience with Python script execution.
- Able to move equipment up to 25 lbs as needed.
