You'll act as the voice of the end-user within a high-performing engineering team, ensuring that complex, graphically rich applications meet the exceptional standard our customers expect from every Apple product. Your work will directly shape experiences enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. Description In this role, you'll be embedded alongside software engineers, EPMs, and cross-functional QA partners

You'll work on some of the most visually and technically demanding applications on any Apple platform, requiring a sharp eye for edge cases, genuine technical curiosity, and a relentless focus on the end-user experience

","responsibilities":"Creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing architectures grounded in product objectives and end-user experience Assessing risk, filing actionable and well-documented defects, and driving them from discovery through resolution and regression Triaging issues, prioritizing effectively, and proposing resolutions using sound software testing methodology Identifying gaps in coverage and syncing with cross-functional QA and engineering partners to reduce duplication, strengthen testing, and resist regression Participating in design reviews to provide early-stage quality feedback and surface risk before it becomes defect Contributing to efforts that standardize and optimize test performance across the team Supporting daily triage and test result review to maintain signal quality and release readiness Preferred Qualifications Experience with camera, media, or imaging software
  • familiarity with the full capture and playback pipeline is a strong plus Interest or passion in photography, videography, or spatial media Familiarity with visionOS, iOS, or Apple's developer ecosystem (Xcode, Radar, etc.
) Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or Swift for scripting, tooling, or test support Experience developing ML-based testing frameworks and leveraging LLM tooling to improve efficiency, coverage, and reporting Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of experience working as a Software Quality Engineer In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools Proven experience developing test plans, test cases, and testing architectures that cover functionality and edge cases Strong ability to assess risk, file appropriate defects, and provide relevant data for test reporting Ability to work independently
  • triaging problems, prioritizing effectively, raising issues proactively, and driving resolutions Comfortable presenting analysis and test results clearly to engineering DRIs and cross-functional stakeholders BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools.
Demonstrated ability to use them for design, code generation, and debugging. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
