The Mechanical Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost. This position is for an Engineer in the Post Boost Control System (PBCS) IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the

with our Navy partner, LM leadership, and suppliers, with many opportunities for career development along the way. The
PBCS IPT
is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of the PBCS which is an attitude control and propulsive subsystem controlling the missile in a phase of the flight. This individual will be a technical integrator of propulsion hardware and test software. This role involves working with test console developers, SMEs/CPE's, analysis teams, test execution teams, and the overall test support infrastructure. The role will create comprehensive test algorithms and control software, documentation, translate hardware requirements into clear test objectives, and drive the coordination of test hardware, software, and resources. Your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Develop Test Plans & Documentation Test plan development; support the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, including test strategy, test design, and test scripts Test script creation including hardware control algorithms and pressure control loop algorithms. Collaborate with CPE's/RSE's to interpret hardware requirements and convert them into measurable test requirements and acceptance criteria Collaborate with stakeholders to understand test requirements and ensure that test activities meet their needs Execute Test Support Oversee setup, configuration, and validation. Ensure compliance with safety, qualification, and configuration control standards. Drive execution and help resolve road blocks.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in system or test engineering, with exposure to system design, development, and integration Strong technical expertise in system test for electrical and/or mechanical hardware, including test planning, design, and/or execution Experience with multiple test disciplines, including functional testing, performance testing, and/or security testing Familiarity with test tools and technologies, test data management and test environment management Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance; US Citizenship Required Availability to travel to test locations (travel 25% or greater. Will vary)
Desired Skills:
Experience establishing and implementing test requirements and plans Experience with any computer software language application or basic software skills (for example: C++, Python, Labview, etc) Programming and scripting skills Test or test support experience Experience with Environmental Testing Experience troubleshooting test failures Experience leading and collaborating in small teams and communicating with stakeholder Experience with agile development methodologies Proven experience in leading and managing test development, including setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources Active or Current Secret clearance or higher

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
