Job Description

A Director of Trauma Program is needed in Fort Walton Beach, FL, at a 267-bed hospital offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery, a main emergency room, a dedicated pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs. The role. Reporting into hospital leadership, the Director of Trauma Program leads the strategic planning and day-to-day coordination of trauma care across the full continuum, working to align efforts between local and regional trauma systems. The director develops and oversees processes for monitoring financial performance and resource utilization within the Trauma Center, and manages verification and re-verification activities to maintain the center's standing. Quality oversight is central to the position: the director monitors clinical processes and outcomes, designs quality filters and case reviews to identify trends, and builds a trauma registry structured to support performance improvement, trend analysis, and research while safeguarding patient confidentiality. What we're looking for. Associate Degree (Registered Nurse) Active RN licensure 5+ years of recent acute care trauma leadership experience (e.g., Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Coordinator), with experience within the last year Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Schedule. This is a full-time day-shift position.
