What You'll Do As HVAC Building/Automation Specialist , you'll play a key role in creating a safe and efficient environment at the College. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for: Promoting, building, and maintaining good relationships with the campus community; keeps supervisor informed of campus needs, systems status, and actual or potential occupant problems. Provides recommendations on equipment and system operation and modification for energy conservation, efficiency, and reliability. Performs lock repairs, moves equipment and furniture. Operates, maintains, and repairs vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Supervises temporary help. Provides on-call duty as needed. Will utilize the facility work request procedure system (AIM's) to identify and enter Corrective Maintenance issues, complete Preventative Maintenance procedures, document material usage and man hours expended. Performs preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders as assigned by the facility work request system (AIM's) on buildings, plumbing systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, control systems, hot water heating systems, valves, dampers, electrical systems and associated equipment. Inspect, monitor, evaluate, adjust, and alter controls and set points using building automation system (BAS) programming and direct digital controls (DDC) for managing heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) to ensure that comfortable and safe temperatures, relative humidity, and proper air exchanges are maintained. Will troubleshoot and repair equipment using system architecture graphical user interface display (GUI), programming logic, traced data cables, low voltage supplied electricity, schematics, wiring diagrams and component level testing. Responds to emergency and routine service calls to provide restoration of services with a minimum of downtime.

8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday
