Senior Quality Engineer Job Purpose:
To lead and execute quality engineering initiatives, ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle at
ASP GLOBAL LLC.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test strategies, perform various testing activities, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications, covering functional, performance, security, and usability testing. Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria. Perform various testing activities, including manual testing, automated testing, and exploratory testing. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Analyze test results, generate test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability. Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and best practices within the organization. Mentor and guide junior quality engineers in testing methodologies and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance. Experience with various testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing. Experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Experience with defect tracking systems and reporting tools. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes. Proficiency in testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with automation testing tools is a plus. Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.
