Job Description:
EMC Test Engineer Key Responsibilities Develop and execute EMC test plans for electronic systems and ECUs Perform conducted and radiated emissions/immunity testing Support EMC validation activities at both component and vehicle level Analyze EMC test results and troubleshoot failures/root causes Work closely with hardware, PCB layout, and systems engineering teams to resolve EMC issues Review circuit designs, grounding, shielding, and PCB layouts for EMC compliance risks Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams on EMC requirements and validation Support prototype vehicle testing and debugging activities Develop mitigation strategies for EMI/EMC issues across automotive electronics platforms Ensure compliance with automotive EMC standards and internal validation requirements Maintain and improve EMC lab setups, test procedures, and documentation Required Qualifications BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Experience with EMC/EMI testing and validation Knowledge of conducted/radiated emissions and immunity testing methodologies Experience troubleshooting electronic hardware and system-level issues Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet Understanding of grounding, shielding, filtering, and PCB layout best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Automotive industry experience Experience with EMC standards Experience with high-voltage EV systems or power electronics Hands-on experience using: Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes, EMI receivers, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Signal generators Experience with MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, or automated test systems
