Performance Test Engineer Location:

Chicago, IL (5 days onsite) Job Description We are seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our Payments Technology team. This role will be responsible for end-to-end performance testing activities, including planning, execution, analysis, and production support. The ideal candidate will have experience working in both on-prem and cloud environments and will play a key role in ensuring application scalability, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies and test plans. Perform load, stress, and scalability testing for payment applications. Analyze test results and provide performance tuning recommendations. Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams. Support performance testing in both on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments. Monitor applications and provide production support for performance issues. Ensure system performance aligns with business and technical requirements. Required Skills Strong experience with JMeter and BlazeMeter. Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Playwright. Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools. Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Knowledge of performance testing in both on-prem and cloud environments. Preferred Skills Experience with LoadRunner. Exposure to automation frameworks. Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based performance testing.
