Job Description

Field Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist Pro Services, Inc. is calling on seasoned troubleshooters who love variety, thrive under pressure, and aren't afraid to jump on a plane to solve a problem.
Picture your week:
Monday you're commissioning drives on a high-speed conveyor line; midweek you're dissecting a PLC fault without a schematic; by Friday you've trained a site tech team and left the plant safer and more reliable than you found it. Compensation & Benefits $38-$48/hour (DOE) with full benefits: 100% employer-paid medical coverage (single & family) starting Day 1 Dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and Paid Time Off Consistent weekly pay and clear paths for advancement A culture grounded in Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, and Pride High-visibility work where you're recognized as a technical expert Your Impact on Site Own complex electrical troubleshooting (24V-480V, 3-phase, motors, drives, PLCs) Execute both preventive maintenance routines and rapid break/fix interventions Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic to isolate root causes Troubleshoot PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred) Diagnose issues even when documentation is missing and build solutions that last Support, stabilize, and enhance conveyor systems, motors, and automation equipment Install, test, and upgrade electrical components and control systems Document work thoroughly; communicate status with site leadership Coach and mentor rising technicians Champion a strong safety culture —every task, every time What You Bring 10+ years of hands-on industrial electrical or multi-craft maintenance experience Proven troubleshooting in production environments with PLCs, drives, motors, and controls Adaptability and self-direction while working at diverse customer locations Professional communication and customer-facing confidence Willingness to travel 75%+ with flexibility in schedules Preferred Credentials Master Electrician, Journeyman, or equivalent field expertise Instrumentation & controls background Advanced automation troubleshooting experience Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite Physical & Work Environment Lift up to 50 lbs; navigate physically demanding industrial settings Comfortable at heights, in tight spaces, and in variable conditions Stand, walk, climb, bend, and maneuver across job sites Work safely on industrial surfaces with all required PPE Technical Proficiencies PLC Troubleshooting Skills; Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Electrical/Mechanical/Equipment Troubleshooting; Equipment Diagnostics & Repair Industrial Electrical Systems; 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment; Pneumatics Troubleshooting Mechanical Systems & Component Repair Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Machines & Technologies Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Conveyor Systems Why This Role Stands Out Travel to a wide range of industrial environments Tackle complex, high-level technical challenges Serve as the go-to expert customers depend on Continuously expand your toolkit and knowledge If you're ready to take your expertise on the road and make an immediate difference, apply today and build your career with Pro Services, Inc.
