Job Description
Insight Global QA Engineer- India Westborough, MA Apply Job Description We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our team! The QA Engineer collaborates closely with the Test Engineering team to plan, build, and maintain a comprehensive suite of manual and automated test assets. This role works cross‑functionally with multiple teams to ensure testing processes are followed, verification activities are completed, and results are documented accurately. Responsibilities include analyzing approved functional requirements, conducting ambiguity reviews, and developing detailed test plans, test cases, and test summary reports. The QA Engineer performs exploratory testing and creates functional models that enhance and clarify software requirements beyond textual documentation. They define and implement risk‑based testing strategies, applying innovative approaches to validate system quality and compliance with requirements. Additionally, the role contributes to increased automation coverage by developing and maintaining automated tests for new and existing functionality. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. - Experience with test management tools such as Quality Center, Azure DevOps Test Manager, Jira/Zephyr, Jama
- Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Selenium, Cypress or Azure Playwright
- Experience with cloud software/SaaS development and testing
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Experience in planning regression test strategies
- Experience in writing test automation scripts
- Actual coding experience desired as role has a potential to include up to 50% actual coding in c# (.Net backend)
- Experience with data security and privacy principles (certs, encryption, Role-Based Access Controls, etc)
- Front-end test scripting is helpful, but not immediately required (JavaScript/TypeScript (React frontend)).
- Healthcare IT interoperability and communications standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR)
- Feels strong on mock and test principles
- Teach people how to write the tests
- Experience in a regulated software background (medical/healthcare preferred)
- Highly collaborative consensus builder with experience liaising between diverse teams
- Performance testing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Demonstratable strategic thinking
- Strong hands-on coaching and teaching skills
