The Software Test Engineer has responsibility for supporting full life cycle testing efforts of comparable size and scope. Works individually or as part of a team. Experience required to support software development and full life cycle testing of mission systems including the design, development, and maintenance of test plans/cases/processes, the creation and maintenance of test environments and automated test capabilities, the performance of Integration & Testing and Acceptance Testing, and the reporting and tracking of problems through their resolution. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

Position Required Skills:

Supporting software development and full life cycle testing of mission systems. The design, development, and maintenance of test plans/cases/processes. The creation and maintenance of test environments and automated test capabilities. The performance of Integration & Testing and Acceptance Testing. The reporting and tracking of problems through their resolution. Knowledge of test automation using Python. Performance/load/stress testing. Data interface testing. User interface testing. Security testing. Code coverage tools. Systems integration testing. The installation, configuration, management, and enhancement of software applications, LINUX systems, and connected network components. STE2

Qualifications:

Six (6) years of experience as a STE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Four (4) years of additional Test Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a degree.

Salary Range:

•$138k-$168k (Annually) •The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
