Motor Validation Engineer (Auburn Hills, MI) | 05/20/26 Job Description Motor Validation Engineer || Location- Auburn Hills, MI -
Onsite Job Summary:
5+ years of experience in electric motor validation and testing in an automotive environment Hands-on experience in power electronics design and validation — inverters, DC-DC converters, gate drivers Strong knowledge of PMSM motor types (Offset / Coax) including internal parts, construction standards, and motor theory Proficient in pre/post test procedures — Insulation Resistance (IR) test, Milli-ohm measurement, Hi-pot & Surge test, Back EMF test Experience in performance and validation test procedures at eMotor and EDM (Electric Drive Module) level Motor simulation experience (FEA / MATLAB / Motor-CAD) is an added advantage Very good knowledge of motor drivers, inverter topologies, and power converter control Key Responsibilities Motor Validation & Testing — Plan and execute DVP test cases for electric motors Power Electronics — Validate PIM-level integration Troubleshooting — Identify and investigate test failures using root cause analysis Skill Requirements

ISO 26262, LV124, GMW3172, CISPR 25
Tools:
