This Role Software Product Testing Intern Responsibilities:
  • Perform root-cause investigation by debugging issues on Audioinfotainment, IVI, or other Visteon software products.
  • Execute testing according to plans for regional features in both development and vehicle environments.
  • Support Network/Power/Diagnostics teams to debug issues in vehicle environments.
System Validation Intern Responsibilities:
  • Understand and interpret internal system requirements (SRD) and customer requirements.
  • Convert system and customer requirements into detailed test cases for bench and vehicle testing.
  • Develop test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts, including automation.
  • Execute tests on both bench and vehicle setups; create detailed reports and summaries.
  • Reproduce defects, collect logs, and support issue debugging and RCA.
  • Create documentation and reusable artifacts to support knowledge management.
  • Implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve test efficiency. What's in It for You

  • Hands-on experience in automotive software product testing and system validation.
  • Knowledge of major IVI/CDC/Audio features specific to the North America region.
  • Experience working closely with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks, requirement analysis, and full validation lifecycle activities.
What You'll Bring Education:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
Technical Skills :
  • Coursework or experience with C/C++, MATLAB, Python, or related tools.
  • High proficiency in Python and C scripting.
  • Understanding of software/product development lifecycle.
  • Prior experience in automotive software development or system validation is highly desired.
Behavioral Competencies :
  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality output.
  • Critical thinking and eagerness to build technical depth.
  • Clear communication skills—oral, written, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborative team player who communicates with enthusiasm.
Work Arrangement:
  • Interns must be available for a minimum of 8 weeks and have the ability to work on-site at Visteon's Headquarters in Van Buren Township, MI.
