Job Description

Job Description A large telecommunications company is looking for an experienced Lead QA Tester to join their team to support a suite of eight back office application tools for field operations. The team consists of 8-9 offshore testers and 2 onshore leads (one for automation and one for manual) and this role will serve as the overall Team Lead. There will need to be occasional scheduling overlap with the offshore team for critical deployments. This role will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. This person is involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, and test execution. The Quality Assurance Test Lead works on projects of high complexity within one or more development environments and on multiple programs/systems as a test lead. This person is considered a subject matter expert for a single program/system. He/she has the ability to lead a team through effective delegation, training, and motivation. The Quality Assurance Test Lead has the ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment. Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. The environment is 60-65% automation 60-65% and 30-35% manual testing and this role will be about 20% hands on technical and 80% strategy, planning and leadership.
