Job Description

Job purpose Contributes to and implements test schedules for all products and deliverables. Reviews and tests customer and product management requirements. Creates and maintains test design (cases) and applies test methodology to test execution. Documents and tracks defects found during testing and maintain metrics associated with the SDLC processes. Develops and maintains domain expertise in the products under test. Engages in the improvement of all quality practices and procedures. Duties and responsibilities Contributes to planning (estimation) and execution against test schedules Engages in requirements review and actively tests the requirements Creates test cases and suites to provide coverage for new and existing requirements Uses a broad base of test methodology while executing manual tests or designing tests for automation Develops and continuously improves domain expertise in the products being tested Set-up, configuration and maintenance of all environmental aspects of testing - this includes software, hardware, peripherals, etc. Documents issues and defects found in the software under test. Provides status reporting on testing progress including any certification/summary documentation. Collaborates with and provides support to CM, Development and Product Management Engages in process improvement efforts Continues to grow understanding and knowledgebase of Software Testing practices and methods Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field is preferred. Associate s degree in computer science and/or 3-5 years of equivalent experience in a Software QA role is acceptable. Must have working knowledge of software testing methodologies. Must have strong organizational and critical thinking skills. Experience with Windows, Mac, and Mobile (Android/iOS) Operating Systems. Works under general supervision but relies on experience and professionalism to accomplish goals or raise blocking issues with the team. Must have superior attention to detail, curiosity, tenacity and the ability to self-direct. Working knowledge of one or more software development life cycle models - Waterfall, Iterative, Agile. Experience or knowledge of software testing/development tools such as Azure Test Plans, ALM, Quality Center, Jenkins, Selenium, etc. Knowledgeable in Digital Imaging is a plus SQL/Scripting languages experience is a plus Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours The ability to use arms/hands/fingers to feel and reach Be able to bend/stoop/kneel as needed Must be able to hear and talk/communicate with team members Must be able to push/pull/lift at least 30 lbs. Safety Requirements Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area. The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. DNP offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
