Senior QA Engineer

Our Client, a global leader in delivering diverse Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer for modernizing a legacy LAMP-based web application platform supporting high-volume transactional workflows. This role will establish and execute a regression-driven QA function to validate system behavior across current and upgraded environments. A substantial set of documented manual test cases already exists; the focus is to operationalize and extend these into a structured, repeatable regression framework. Some database performance testing is required as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with PHP applications or LAMP environments
• Familiarity with modernization/migration projects
• Technical Writing Skills
• Ability to read Code (JavaScript / PHP)
• Multi-environment comparison testing
• Familiarity with PHP Unit
• Redis/session-state awareness
• Basic AWS/cloud exposure

What You-ll Do:

• Convert existing manual test cases into a structured regression suite
• Construct performance tests for database transactions and reports
• Identify and prioritize critical business workflows
• Execute testing across current and modernized environments
• Validate backend data integrity using SQL (MySQL)
• Classify defects (regression vs legacy, severity, business impact)
• Implement targeted automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
• Document test processes and results
