Job Description:
This position supports Quality Assurance requirements of both Groups of Orbit International and is responsible ensuring compliance to customer, government and industry requirements and specifications as well as the implementation and maintenance of quality systems such as
ISO 9001.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Possess experience and judgment to be able to plan and accomplish goals and in performing a variety of complex tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Will be expected to work with all levels of the company under the guidance of a Senior QA Engineer regarding training, MRB processing, creation, maintenance and implementation of Quality policies and procedures and work instructions.
- Exhibit experience and sound judgement to plan and accomplish goals, as well as lead and direct the work of other personnel.
Desired Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree desired. Minimum 5 years' experience. Experience with
ISO 9001
2015 required
- Applicant must be organized, open-minded, decisive, and flexible.
- Must be able to communicate well with others, work as a team member, and lead others by example and direction.
- Knowledge in industry standard
IPC-A-610
acceptability of electronic assemblies and
J-STD-001
requirements for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies is desirable but not required.
- Experience as a lead auditor and trainer desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter and problem solver with ability and desire to work in diverse multi-disciplinary teams

Compensation:
$80,000/yr. - $95,000/ yr. Depending on Experience This position is 100% onsite at our Hauppauge, NY office. Due to the nature of our business US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
