Funktionsbereich Qualitätsmanagement Vollzeit/Teilzeit Vollzeit Einstiegslevel Berufserfahrene Quality Engineer Heraeus Epurio Location Dayton - Ohio Permanent Full Time Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of all products and processes at HEPN. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitates the investigation and response to customer complaints and internal issues. Determine and eliminates root causes and diminish defect occurrences or quality incidents in the process. Supports the Quality Manager with internal and external audits, customer surveys, and respond or resolve corrective and/or preventive actions and verifications. Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Supports the Quality Assurance group in streamlining Quality documentation. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Perform capability studies and statistical analysis using methods such as FMEA, GR&R, SPC, and SQC. Organize data from various sources into Excel for statistical analysis. Applies statistical analysis to investigate historical trends. Perform control charting and review prior to product shipment. Participate in pFMEA, Cpk, control plan; file and maintain related records. Handles confidential information with care. Education and/or Experience A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field and 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical production industry. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are required. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are required. Use of statistical software such as Minitab or JMP is preferred. Documentation and technical writing along with computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel is required. Proficiency in Statistical Process & Quality Control (SPC & SQC), MSA, Control Plans, and FMEA is required. Experience working within an ISO-regulated environment is preferred.
