Erie, PA About the job: We are looking for an experienced Lead Automation Quality Engineer with strong test automation expertise using Tricentis Tosca to support P&C Insurance applications. The role involves hands-on testing across the UI, API, and Database layers in an Agile/Scrum environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, enhancement, and governance of the TOSCA automation framework. Define automation strategy, standards, reusable components, and best practices. Collaborate with QE, Functional Testing, Development, and Business teams to identify automation priorities and roadmap. Review automation candidates and align automation scope with regression and release objectives. Manage automation planning, estimations, execution tracking, and status reporting. Ensure automation scalability, maintainability, and readiness for CI/CD integration readiness. Monitor automation metrics, defect leakage, execution trends, and quality KPIs. Support Production Defect RCA analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor Automation Engineers and provide technical guidance, code reviews, and framework support. Drive KT sessions, process documentation, and automation governance activities. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using the TOSCA framework. Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios based on approved automation candidates. Analyze test cases and identify opportunities to optimize automation and improve reusability. Execute automation suites, analyze failures, log defects, and support defect retesting activities. Maintain test data, reusable modules, and automation assets in alignment with framework standards. Update automation execution results, status, and traceability within Azure DevOps (ADO). Participate in sprint/release testing activities and support CI/CD execution pipelines. Collaborate with Functional Testing and QE teams to validate coverage and ensure requirement traceability. Support Production RCA activities by analyzing automation gaps and failed coverage areas. Contribute to KT documentation, process improvements, and continuous automation enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with TOSCA test automation framework and model-based automation concepts. Experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test automation. Knowledge of test case design techniques, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, defect tracking, and automation traceability. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation execution processes. Experience with API, database, and web application testing. Knowledge of SQL queries, test data management, and environment coordination. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and release processes. Strong troubleshooting, defect analysis, and root cause analysis skills. Understanding of automation governance, reusable components, and framework maintenance. Ability to define automation strategy, standards, and roadmap. Experience leading automation teams and coordinating across QE, Development, and Business teams. Good collaboration and cross-functional coordination skills.
