Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester JHT Incorporated $70,000 to $85,000 United States, Maryland, Patuxent River Mar 25, 2026 As a solutions-based company, Precise Systems is focused on innovation in support of the warfighters and aligning our expertise to deliver the highest quality of service. We are currently expanding our team and are seeking a Hybrid Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester to support a suite of government web-based business applications. The candidate will be responsible for execution of end-to-end testing for product releases, to include functional, system, and regression testing. The candidate will be responsible for the development of software test plans, test scenarios and cases, defect logging and reproduction procedures. This is a hybrid position. The candidate will be required to be onsite in a controlled secure environment as needed and must be located in commutable distance to Patuxent River, Maryland.

This position may allow for hybrid work; however, employees must be able and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as required by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs.
Responsibilities will include:
Designing and executing manual test plans and test scenarios for software components and builds. Converting business requirements into test plans and test cases. Working closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures. Defect/Bug tracking and reproduction procedures. Acting as a software testing resource on project teams, and interacting with Developers, System Analysts, Project Managers, and other QA analysts.
Required Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience in the software development testing environment to include at least one (1) year of related experience in project support quality assurance or one (1) year of experience in software development quality assurance testing.
Required Education:
BA/BS degree.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION
A) An AS or AA degree and six (6) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree; or B) Eight (8) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Desired Education/Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven track record of successful management of resources and timelines. Team player that can work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of SDLC, to include Agile/Scrum. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
