Quality Engineer II (Remote) As the leading innovator in Vehicle-to-Government (V2Gov) technology, Vitu is transforming the way vehicles, businesses, government, and drivers interact with one another. Job Summary The Quality Engineer II develops and executes test plans, test scripts, and test reports required for software quality assurance. This role works closely with software engineers, product managers, support, and other stakeholders to ensure that the products and services delivered meet high standards of quality, reliability, and usability. A Quality Engineer II is expected to work independently on assigned testing efforts, contribute to both manual and automated testing, and proactively identify quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for new features and existing functionality
  • Review business requirements, technical designs, and user stories to identify test scenarios, gaps, and risks early
  • Perform system, functional, and regression testing to validate software enhancements and defect fixes
  • Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and assess potential impacts of changes
  • Create and maintain test plans, test data, test scripts, and test documentation
  • Collaborate closely with developers during feature development and defect resolution
  • Contribute to and maintain test automation frameworks and automated test suites
  • Support regression testing and release readiness activities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Support new product deployments and post‑release validation
  • Ensure the security, confidentiality, and privacy of systems and data
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and quality standards Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and quality processes
  • Proven manual testing experience, including test case design and execution
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and executing basic SQL queries
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
