Must currently reside within the United States Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Must be able to pass a background investigation Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Senior QA Lead / Senior QA Analyst to support mission-critical business applications in a complex enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a hands-on testing leader responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, regression testing, and defect management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience testing web-based applications, financial workflows, ETL processes, and data-intensive systems. This role requires someone who can quickly learn complex business processes, develop comprehensive test strategies, and independently own testing efforts from requirements through production deployment. The environment is currently heavily Microsoft-based and undergoing a strategic migration to AWS cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities QA Leadership & Test Management Lead and coordinate all phases of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts Review and approve testing artifacts prepared by QA team members Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for QA best practices Provide testing leadership throughout the software development lifecycle Hands-On Testing Execute manual testing activities across complex business applications Validate new functionality, enhancements, integrations, and production releases Perform regression testing to ensure system stability Analyze test results and identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues Retest resolved defects and validate corrective actions Financial & Data Workflow Testing Test complex financial workflows and business processes Validate ETL processes and data movement across systems Verify data accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation requirements Support testing of web-based enterprise applications and integrated systems Defect & Risk Management Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution activities Assess testing impacts and communicate risks to project stakeholders Escalate critical issues and coordinate remediation efforts Maintain visibility into testing progress and overall project quality Test Automation & Process Improvement Develop and maintain automated testing strategies where applicable Support expansion and maintenance of regression test libraries Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, quality, and coverage Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and QA best practices Agile Environment Support Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives Partner with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers Support organizations transitioning from traditional development methodologies to Agile delivery models Contribute to Agile testing strategies and documentation updates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or QA leadership roles Strong hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and UAT activities Experience testing web applications and enterprise business systems Experience validating complex financial workflows and business processes Experience testing ETL processes and data integrations Strong defect management and root-cause analysis skills Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Test automation experience strongly preferred Experience with cloud-based environments and AWS migrations Experience with Microsoft enterprise environments Experience with data validation, data warehousing, or ETL testing Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software implementations Experience serving as a QA Lead or Senior QA Analyst Technical Environment Current Environment Microsoft-based enterprise applications Financial workflow systems ETL and data integration platforms Web-based business applications Future-State Environment AWS Cloud Platform Modernized application and data architectures What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, this individual will: Gain a thorough understanding of the business systems and application landscape Learn and document high-level business and technical requirements Independently own testing efforts for new features and enhancements Develop and execute comprehensive test cases Provide actionable feedback that improves software quality and reduces production defects This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on QA professional who enjoys owning testing efforts, improving quality processes, and working closely with business and technical teams in a rapidly evolving environment.
