Financial Services / Banking Preferred Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on QA Engineer / QA Lead with strong expertise in Playwright, Java, Selenium, API Testing, and Test Automation Framework Development . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions, leading QA initiatives, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments. This role requires a candidate who can actively contribute to automation coding, test strategy, framework development, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Test Automation & Quality Engineering Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit . Build and execute automated UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites. Develop reusable automation components and testing utilities. Participate in test planning, estimation, and automation strategy discussions. Drive automation-first testing practices across development teams. Playwright & Selenium Automation Develop and maintain robust Playwright-based automation frameworks. Create automated test scripts for web applications across multiple browsers. Optimize existing Selenium automation suites and migrate legacy frameworks where applicable. Implement parallel execution, reporting, and test data management solutions. API Testing Perform API testing using REST Assured, Postman, Swagger, and related tools. Validate RESTful and microservices-based applications. Automate API validation and integration testing. Verify request/response structures, authentication, performance, and error handling. Coding & Framework Development Write clean, maintainable, and scalable Java code. Build custom automation utilities, libraries, and reporting mechanisms. Participate in code reviews and enforce automation coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve automation framework issues. CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Support automated deployments and release validation activities. Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve test execution efficiency and reporting. Leadership & Collaboration (QA Lead Level) Lead QA efforts for multiple projects and releases. Mentor junior QA engineers and automation testers. Define test strategies, quality metrics, and release readiness criteria. Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams. Provide regular status updates and quality assessments to stakeholders. Required Qualifications 8+ years of overall QA experience. 5+ years of strong Automation Testing experience. 3+ years of hands-on Playwright experience. Strong programming skills in Java . Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver . Strong experience in API Testing using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools. Experience building automation frameworks from scratch. Experience testing web applications, APIs, and microservices. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, and version control systems. Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Wealth Management domains. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter. Knowledge of SQL and database validation testing.
