The successful candidate will Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks. This role will report to the Director of Product Development. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. Candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule in our Richmond VA offices.
What you will do:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using industry standards Implement Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) practices using tools like Cucumber Conduct comprehensive web application testing to ensure software quality and functionality Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality assurance standards and processes Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution Perform performance testing and analysis to ensure system scalability and reliability Write clean, maintainable code in Java and JavaScript to support test automation efforts Continuously improve and optimize automation frameworks and test processes Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in test automation and quality assurance Other duties as assigned Implement API and backend testing frameworks Implement/maintain a standardized framework that will be used across different projects Facilitate in the design and creation of an automation application implementing AI Other duties as assigned
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
Required Experience:
2+ years of experience in automation testing and various test automation tools 5+ years of experience in manual testing and quality assurance
Required Skills:
Proficient in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and creating detailed Strong experience with web application tools for automated testing (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, etc.) Solid experience in web application testing Proficiency in Java, JavaScript and/or Python coding Familiarity with version control systems like Git Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured Excellent understanding of software quality assurance principles and practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Knowledge of Medicaid systems and applications. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins) Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques Understanding of agile methodologies and practices documentation Success at Amida Communication is the key to success at Amida.
