The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to identify defects, automate testing processes, and help deliver high-quality solutions to our customers. This position operates on a two-week-onsite, two-week-remote rotation, with per diem and all travel expenses provided for the duration of the program. Future programs provide opportunity to work fully remote.
Pay:
$75,000 - $145,000 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field 3-7 years of experience in software or systems testing within aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, or embedded systems Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Verification & Validation (V&V), regression, functional, and integration testing Experience developing test cases and procedures Ability to interpret technical requirements, interface specifications, system documentation, and architectures Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect reporting skills Experience documenting test results and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with unmanned systems, autonomous platforms, aerospace, or defense programs Familiarity with HITL/HIL and SITL test environments Experience supporting flight testing, field integration, and first-of-type system deployments Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-HDBK-516C, and related MIL-STD frameworks Experience testing embedded and distributed systems Why work with those of us at Performance Software?
