$60.00/hour Overview The Project Management Office WIC seeks an experienced Tester to support the

SPIRIT WIC

Management Information System (MIS). Maine participates in a consortium using the

SPIRIT SAM

model. The Tester will plan, create, and execute User Acceptance Tests (UAT), interface tests with the EBT Processor, and regression testing to ensure release quality and regulatory compliance. federal regulations Familiarity with SAM MIS systems such as Crossroads, Mountain Plains, MOSAIC, and SPIRIT Experience using issue reporting systems such as Azure DevOps Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to manage time to meet published UAT schedules Key Responsibilities Lead testing efforts and coordinate application testing tasks with the WIC Technology Manager. Plan, develop, and execute UAT, interface testing (EBT Processor), and regression testing against release documents (major, minor, hotfix). Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, data setup instructions, and entry/exit criteria; report pass/fail and Go/No‑Go status. Report test results and issues using DevOps and team processes; log defects and follow through to resolution. Coordinate test activities with Functional SPIRIT users, WIC Director, MaineIT technical resources, CDP support, other software providers, and the Spirit User Group (SUG). Support helpdesk by developing recommendations and documentation for resolving user-reported SPIRIT issues; act as SME when needed. Attend mandatory SPIRIT application calls (Change Control Work Group, Tester Call, Morning Calls) and participate in post-UAT reviews and release demonstrations. Develop and update testing standards, procedures, and user guides; communicate verified functional changes to users. Estimate and report time/resources needed for UAT; provide ETC and actuals to WIC leadership. Anticipate, track, and manage risks; develop contingency plans and request additional team support when necessary. Testing & Quality Duties Define testing quality standards and ensure repeatable documented processes are followed. Review release work plans from the software provider and identify acceptance criteria beyond DevOps entries when needed. Perform interface testing with live test environments for EBT processing and validate end-to-end flows. Create test scripts with pre/post conditions and data requirements; coordinate data setup or table updates with technical staff. Ensure test design remains within project scope and meets USDA-mandated changes (food packages, FMNP cycles, etc.). What We're Looking For Proven experience testing WIC or similar human services applications. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to create user-friendly guides and status updates. Comfortable requesting technical support for data setup and coordinating across business and technical teams. Ability to work independently in a small team, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work. Preferred Prior experience with SPIRIT MIS and working within a SAM consortium. Familiarity with EBT processor interfaces and live test environments.

Pay:

$50.92 - $60.00 per hour
