THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and passionate technical leader to join our growing datacenter CPU and AI post silicon validation team with expertise in validating Security IP and Virtualization features of in next generation AMD Instinct GPU's. Security is an exciting and ever-changing feature within Datacenter SOCs. As a key contributor to the success of AMD's product, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering and validation team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute feature enablement and validation test plans for SoC- and system-level SoC features across all AMD Server products in Virtualization and Security features Develop test content for both focus testing as well as system level stress testing of OS Virtualization plus cross product stress testing Exposure to functionally validating, regressing, executing and debugging issues seen during the enablement and cross product validation Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure (software, hardware, automation environment, and lab setup) Enhance post-silicon validation infrastructure such as automation environment, validation configuration checking, automated test log analysis, etc. Collaborate with partner organizations to provide root cause analysis for platform issues in a Data center environment. Drive the provide root cause analysis for platform level, SoC logical, performance and BIOS/firmware issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing tools to improve SoC validation and debug
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Strong programming skills and scripting language expertise (C/C++, Python) Hands-on post-silicon lab experience working with platforms, server Operating Systems, and virtualized environments Experience with x86 microprocessor architecture and with server SOC platform architecture including firmware, IO, and DDR Experience developing validation methodologies, test content, and infrastructure Creation of positive and negative test cases that not only confirm correct functionality but also attempt to break the design Silicon debug skills at both SoC and system level Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows Server) Proficiency working with common lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers Team players with excellent communication skills can work autonomously, multitask, and set priorities. Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to drive effective decision-making across various functions and levels within the organization. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of pre-silicon environments (Verification, Emulation, Virtual Bring-Up) is a plus.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Expertise in datacenter Security features such as encryption, secure boot, root of trust, key management, confidential compute, and attestation Security architecture and threat modeling
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
BSEE/CSE/CS with 5+ years of experience or
MSEE/CSE/CS
with 7+ years of experience
