Job Details Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Intelligent Automation Technology, the Automation Developer-I role is responsible for developing, supporting, and delivering automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and simplify business processes. The role focuses on designing, building, testing, and maintaining automation workflows, supporting production systems, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires technical aptitude, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and support automation workflows using industry-standard tools and technologies. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation solutions to ensure performance and reliability. Create scripts and workflows to automate business processes and document technical specifications for knowledge sharing. Work with Business Analysts, Architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into automation solutions. Share ideas, communicate progress, and provide updates on risks and issues to team leads and stakeholders. Optimize existing workflows and explore opportunities for efficiency and scalability. Research emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve automation solutions. Conduct testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) and support debugging during implementation and production. Participate in training and mentorship programs to grow technical expertise in automation tools and methodologies. Apply best practices to ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 0-2 years of relevant development experience (internships or academic projects are a plus).
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
Foundational knowledge of automation tools and technologies (e.g., RPA tools such as Automation Anywhere, Power Apps, or similar). Basic understanding of software development principles, debugging, and testing. Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or other relevant technologies is nice to have. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes. Excellent teamwork and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
