Senior QA Engineer - Android Testing (6-8 Years)Location:
Houston, TX(Onsite) ???? Role Summary We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer - Android Testing with 6-8 years of experience in mobile application testing and automation. The role requires strong expertise in Android testing, test automation frameworks, and leading quality initiatives in Agile environments. ???? Key Responsibilities- Own and drive end-to-end testing strategy for Android applications (manual + automation)
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Ensure application quality across multiple Android devices, OS versions, and environments
- Lead automation efforts using tools like Appium/Selenium and improve test coverage
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to ensure quality delivery
- Identify risks, gaps, and bottlenecks early and provide mitigation strategies
- Manage and track defects using tools like Jira; ensure closure within SLA
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous testing integration
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in QA processes
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) Required Skills
- 6-8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong exposure to Android mobile testing
- Strong expertise in: o Mobile app testing strategies and device compatibility o Test planning, execution, and defect management
- Hands-on experience in automation tools/frameworks: o Appium / Selenium with Java
- Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven
- Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP)
- Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, TestRail Thanks and Regards paul paul@ampstek.
