THIS IS A FULL-TIME, ONSITE POSITION AT OUR DFW FACILITY

Job Summary The Electronics & Testing Engineer will support the transition of new optical and electronic technologies from R D into prototyping and production by leading handson and automated testing of complex electronic and electrooptical systems. The role includes developing and executing test plans, managing test stations and procedures, selecting test equipment, documenting test designs and operating procedures, and training production staff on equipment use and result interpretation throughout early production and product maturity. Key Responsibilities Test and validate nextgeneration optical and electronic technologies as they transition from R D to prototyping and production. Lead handson and automated testing of complex electronic and electrooptical systems. Develop and execute prototype and preproduction test plans, manage test stations and procedures, and support test equipment selection and procurement. Design, document, and maintain test equipment and operating procedures, and train production staff on their use and data interpretation. Collaborate across hardware, software, R D, and QA/QC teams, including participation in software testing activities. Troubleshoot hardware failures, recommend design improvements, and create supporting documentation. Design, build, and validate automated and semiautomated test systems for prototype evaluation and production quality control. Coordinate internal compliance testing, crossfacility testing efforts, and external NRTL laboratory testing.
