SDET Vaco $29.00 - $39.00 / hr United States, Texas, San Antonio May 26, 2026 We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support enterprise digital banking and internal application testing efforts. This individual will focus heavily on automation testing, test framework development, and improving overall software quality across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated testing, hands-on scripting experience, and the ability to work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams in a large enterprise environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks
Execute automated and manual functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing
Support testing efforts for web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and backend systems
Analyze business and technical requirements to develop effective test scenarios and test cases
Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Maintain testing documentation, test results, and automation reporting
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across the Quality Assurance organization
Ensure applications meet performance, usability, and quality standards prior to production deployment
Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
3+ years of hands-on automation testing experience
Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools
Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks
Experience testing REST APIs and backend services
Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, C#, or similar scripting/programming languages
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as ALM or qTest
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
Experience testing web and mobile applications
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience within banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments
Experience supporting enterprise digital platforms
Knowledge of mobile automation testing tools
Familiarity with SQL and database validation testing
Exposure to large enterprise QA environments and release cycles
