QA Automation Engineer 12 Months contract - extension McLean , VA -
On-site M-F Job Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web, mobile, and API applications. The ideal candidate will have strong automation experience and a passion for delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts. Develop and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Conduct API testing and validation using automation tools. Identify, document, and track defects through resolution. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Analyze test results and provide quality and release readiness reports. Continuously improve test automation coverage and testing processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or related field. 4+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium. Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#. Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing best practices. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
