South Carolina Retirement Yes State Insurance Programs Yes Annual Leave Yes Sick Leave Yes Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Children's Law Center is seeking an energetic and innovative Statistical and Research Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary team. The Statistical and Research Analyst will play a key role in implementing the Center's grant-funded projects and initiatives to meet relevant objectives and requirements. Responsibilities include conducting research, managing and analyzing data, presenting findings, engaging with stakeholders, and developing and disseminating resources. This role requires collaboration with community stakeholders and Center staff. In addition, the Statistical and Research Analyst will support the work of the Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children. The Committee identifies and studies key issues facing South Carolina children and develops and promotes children's policy to address those issues. Research and staff support of the Committee is provided by the Children's Law Center, and this role will work closely with Committee staff and partner agencies to inform policy discussions and initiatives. The Statistical and Research Analyst will also contribute to the Center's broader portfolio by assisting with identifying and ing for funding opportunities and providing research, data, and coordination support across projects. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in social science fields and at least one year related experience, or a bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience. Experience working on research projects regarding children's issues (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, health, education, etc.) or other public policy or statewide issues. Experience in project coordination. Experience with South Carolina child-serving agencies. Experience in graphic design and data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, GIS). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Demonstrates a growth mindset and motivation to improve the lives of South Carolina's children. Proficiency in one or more statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills in professional settings. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Capacity to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with required timelines.
