Job Description:
InGenesis is currently seeking a Statistician to work with our client. In this role, you will work with large-scale education datasets from systems such as CLI Engage and TECPDS, helping generate insights that inform policy decisions and improve outcomes for Texas educators and children. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to research, program evaluation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making through collaboration with state agencies, school systems, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Conduct statistical analyses and support research and evaluation projects, including randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies. Apply methods such as multilevel modeling, growth modeling, psychometric and IRT analyses, structural equation modeling, latent variable analysis, predictive analytics, and classification techniques. Work with large, longitudinal, and multi-source datasets. Develop data visualizations, dashboards, reports, and other products for technical and non-technical audiences. Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs using efficient and reproducible analytic workflows. Contribute to AI/ML initiatives, including predictive modeling, NLP applications, reporting automation, and generative AI projects. Collaborate with faculty, researchers, business stakeholders, data stewards, and IT teams. Translate complex findings into actionable insights for partners and decision-makers. Assist with scholarly and technical products, including publications, white papers, grant applications, documentation, and open-source tools. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Informatics, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Statistician, Data Scientist, Senior Analyst, Informaticist, or similar role. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong proficiency in SAS, including working with existing code and SAS macros. Proficiency in R or Python. Experience with statistical software, databases, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive analytics, regression modeling, data mining, and related methods. Experience working with diverse data formats and sources. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience or strong interest in AI/ML applications. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, especially AWS, or willingness to develop expertise. Physical Requirements Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
