Computer Systems Analyst 3

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Principal Windows Systems Administrator to join a dynamic IT team supporting classified programs. This role involves maintaining and enhancing secure, enterprise-level systems in a high-impact environment. This is a fully onsite position and requires working with classified systems. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Windows-based systems in a secure environment Maintain reliable operation of multi-user computer systems Collaborate with network engineers, system engineers, technicians, and end users Support multiple networks and ensure system administration tasks are completed Analyze requirements and recommend technical solutions Install, patch, upgrade, and monitor system performance Perform backup and recovery operations Manage file systems, disk space, and virus protection Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls Test and validate new system releases Develop and maintain technical documentation Troubleshoot system issues across hardware, software, and network layers Ensure compliance with strict information security standards Maintain audit and logging processes Provide status updates on assigned efforts Lift equipment up to 40 lbs and support after-hours needs as required Basic Qualifications One of the following: Master's degree + 3 years of IT experience Bachelor's degree + 5 years of IT experience Associate's degree + 7 years of IT experience High School diploma/GED + 9 years of IT experience DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE) Experience managing Windows Server environments Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain architecture Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a current or recent polygraph (within 5 years) Ability to obtain and maintain access to special programs Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field Security+ CE, MCSE, or similar certifications 6+ years supporting Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, and Group Policy Experience working in secure or classified IT environments Familiarity with frameworks such as NISPOM, RMF, STIG, or JSIG Knowledge of networking concepts (subnets, routing, VLANs) Experience with system imaging and deployment VMware and SAN storage experience Linux administration experience and/or certifications Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) Scripting experience (mid to advanced level) Experience with Certification & Accreditation processes SAP/SAR access Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of El Segundo, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $46.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
