Mid-Level Systems Engineering Support Analyst Company:
The Boeing Company The C-17 Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and highly collaborative Systems Engineering Support Analyst who possesses an insatiable curiosity and a passion for systems engineering processes. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the C-17 airplane programs and focusing on services and modernization efforts. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys collaborating across a broad range of engineering and program management disciplines, has strong attention to detail, and can help ensure requirements, budgets, schedules, and test objectives are met. This position requires coordination across multiple organizations and functions, including engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customer-facing teams as applicable.
Position Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance and Customer Support:
Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and customer needs by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support airworthiness criteria. Collaborate with Design Engineers to develop required artifacts and data that meet compliance requirements.
Program Support:
Provide support for C-17 programs and modifications, including execution and documentation activities.
Airworthiness Methodologies:
Demonstrate familiarity with airworthiness methodologies and criteria, with a preference for
MIL-STD-516C.
Project Management:
Assist with project management activities such as task tracking, milestone coordination, schedule support, action item tracking, and status reporting.
Cost Account Management:
Support CAM-related duties, including cost account execution, earned value coordination, budget tracking, variance identification, and cost/schedule performance reporting as applicable.
Design Review and Integration:
Coordinate design review readiness by reviewing requirements, procedures, resources, and verification methods. Track integration issues, test discrepancies, risks, and action items through resolution.
Schedules and Reporting:
Support the development, maintenance, and communication of integration schedules, process documentation, and technical reports.
Technical Knowledge:
Possess knowledge of aircraft systems and components, including loadable and non-loadable software.
Data Analysis:
Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant sources.
Verification and Validation:
Understand verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes, including governing regulations and compliance requirements. Support requirements verification, validation, and configuration management activities.
Documentation:
Assess and document test or analysis data to demonstrate compliance.
Issue Resolution:
Resolve cross-functional technical issues as they arise.
Software Proficiency:
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in FAA or USG regulations certification or airworthiness Experience with project management and self-managing projects Experience in problem definition, architecture/design /detailing of processes Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams Ability to adapt to changing scope, responsibilities and job requirements Experience working with FAA or USG regulations Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as
