Job Title Student Intern Job Number IT Student Trainee Positions Available 2 Worksite City of Sacramento Sacramento CA Preferred Major Computer Science, MIS or related majors. Schedule Part-time, 20 +/- hours per week, Flexible Schedule Salary $18-24 per hour Responsibilities Assist with developing and enhancing application features, forms, workflows, reports, and dashboards. Support troubleshooting, triage, and resolution of application support tickets and user-reported issues. Help document business requirements, technical tasks, process workflows, and system procedures. Create, update, and test basic SQL queries, reports, data extracts, and validation scripts. Assist with application testing, including test script creation, regression testing, defect tracking, and validation of fixes. Support user access reviews, role-based permission checks, and basic account-related requests. Help validate system issues by recreating them in test environments and documenting findings. Assist with data cleanup, data quality checks, and system inventory updates. Prepare or update user guides, FAQs, knowledge base articles, release notes, and training materials. Participate in team meetings, project check-ins, task tracking, research, and status reporting activities. Other tasks as needed Preferred Abilities Ability to learn new technologies, applications, and business processes quickly. Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and document findings clearly. Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders. Ability to organize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines with guidance. Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and support process or system improvements.
