Job Description

Epic System Application AnalystPosition Summary:
The Epic System Application [ESA] Analyst is a visible role in enhancing the highest quality of care delivery through effective use of technology. The ESA performs the implementation, maintenance and optimization of SFCHCs Epic electronic health record systems. The ESA ensures that Epic EHR is fully functioning, secured and up to date at all times to meet the needs of the clinical providers, patient management, revenue management and other end-users improving patient care and services. The ESA reports to the Director of Revenue Operations and Informatics and works collaboratively with
API-SFCHC
network technicians on the day-to-day basis. This role serves as liaison between the network technician and Epic end-users.
Major Responsibilities:
Configure and customize EHR applications to improve workflows enhancing end user experience Builds and develops workflows, reports and templates Test and calibrates Epic system functionalities Create and maintain Epic user profiles ensuring appropriate level of access and security Provide training support to end-users, navigating Epic EHR effectively through diligent on-boarding, training and workshops Identify system requirements, troubleshooting issues and implement solutions in consultation with
API-SFCHC
Network Support technicians and the Director of Clinic Revenue Operations & Informatics Adhere to the security and integrity of patient health information ensuring that patient information is protected, confined and secured Manage Epic EHR systems and ensuring compliance HRSA-BPHC and California DHCS regulations Periodically analyze system performance and end-user feedback Recommend upgrades and enhancements to EHR system keeping it efficient, sound and user-friendly Investigate and troubleshoot reported problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions. Create and update documentation related to processes and troubleshooting procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in computer science, Health Informatics or similar discipline is required Relevant 2-3 years experience in information technology and electronic health records Highly proficient in EHR software and applications, health information Certification in EHR systems, preferably Epic is a big plus Ability to work with diverse populations LGBT communities, refugees/immigrants, people experiencing homelessness, and multiply-diagnosed populations (those with substance use and/or mental health issues). You must commit to working on-site at least 3 days a week and may involve visits to other facilities Resolves service issues/requests in aa timely and respectful manner, 2-3 hours maximum Excellent verbal, interpersonal, group communications skills and highly organized
