Job Title:
ECO Analyst Job Description The ECO Analyst supports the Quality & Lean Configuration Management team by managing product configuration, master data, and PLM/PDM processes for a wide range of consumer device programs. This role focuses on processing engineering change orders, managing bills of materials, administering Agile PLM, and driving process improvements from early product development through end-of-life. You will serve as a company-wide resource and PLM subject matter expert, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Packaging teams in a highly visible, cross-functional environment. Responsibilities Act as a company-wide resource for master data maintenance and escalations related to product configuration and documentation. Analyze, process, and track engineering Change Orders (COs) and design documentation, including RCOs, ECOs, deviations, control runs, and NRCOs. Review and validate change orders against established policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with approximately 14 configuration management standards. Drive part setup, bill of materials (BOM) creation, releases, and changes for new and sustaining products across more than 200 device programs. Ensure all engineering documentation and change records meet internal product development and quality standards. Support global master data setup and maintenance from early development through end-of-life for consumer device products. Partner cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Packaging, to resolve configuration and data issues. Provide regular project updates on schedules, issues, risks, and deliverables related to configuration management and change processing. Create, maintain, and publish metrics and reports that track configuration management performance, change order throughput, and process quality. Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate change management and PLM workflows. Serve as a PLM expert who collaborates with technical and software teams to support bug fixes, user acceptance testing (UAT), and beta testing of PLM enhancements. Write and update documentation such as white papers, one-pagers, policies, procedures, and training guides related to configuration management and PLM usage. Onboard new employees and contract manufacturers into Agile PLM, ensuring proper setup and access. Review and approve Agile PLM records including Deviations, RCOs, NRCOs, and Control Runs for accuracy and compliance. Manage Agile PLM user roles, privileges, and functional team assignments to maintain proper governance and controls. Provide training, guidance, and day-to-day support to Agile PLM users, helping them follow best practices and established processes. Handle trouble tickets related to Agile PLM access, configuration, and usage, coordinating with technical teams as needed. Continuously benchmark and improve configuration management performance against Agile PLM standards and internal quality expectations. Support multiple consumer device product releases, ensuring all configuration and change management activities are completed accurately and on time. Perform repetitive, detail-oriented review of change orders while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency. Essential Skills 4+ years of experience in Project or Program Management, with a focus on managing changes and process execution. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Configuration Management in a hardware, manufacturing, or consumer devices environment. 4+ years of experience using PLM/PDM tools, with strong preference for Agile PLM, though experience with similar tools such as Arena or Teamcenter is acceptable. Demonstrated ability to process and manage engineering change orders (ECOs, RCOs, deviations, control runs, NRCOs) in a structured, policy-driven environment. Strong understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), including BOM creation, maintenance, and change control. Experience using data and metrics to drive process improvements and measure configuration management performance. Proven project management skills, including tracking schedules, issues, and deliverables related to configuration and change management. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and other partner teams. Excellent written communication skills, including documentation, specifications, rewrites, and concise summaries such as white papers and one-pagers. Comfort with repetitive, detail-oriented work reviewing change orders while maintaining accuracy and adherence to policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory. Experience supporting hardware manufacturing, consumer electronics, or consumer device programs. Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM tools such as Agile PLM, Arena, or Teamcenter, including user administration and configuration. Interest in or experience with streamlining and automating PLM and change management workflows. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience creating and updating policies, procedures, and training guides related to configuration management or PLM usage. Ability to provide user training, onboarding, and support for PLM tools to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with Amazon Leadership Principles is a plus. Strong documentation skills with attention to detail, clarity, and consistency across technical and process documents. Work Environment This role is based onsite in Sunnyvale in a Quality & Lean Configuration Management team that operates as a small, specialized group supporting a large portfolio of consumer device programs. The position is intended to be onsite five days per week to enable close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Packaging, and other cross-functional partners, though limited hybrid flexibility may be considered for exceptionally strong candidates. You will work extensively with PLM/PDM systems, particularly Agile PLM, and interact frequently with both technical and non-technical teams. The environment emphasizes accuracy, process discipline, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and high-visibility support for multiple product releases across the product lifecycle. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
