Job Description

STS Engineering Solutions is hiring an Assemblies and Configuration Specialist in Denver, Colorado. This role supports aircraft configuration control, component tracking, and data integrity across fleet systems. If you understand how parts move, how systems track them, and why accuracy matters at scale, this is where you step in.
Position Summary
The Assemblies and Configuration Specialist is responsible for additions, updates, and corrections to the configuration of parts and assemblies within the Fleet Management Information System. This role supports aircraft inductions and ensures that all component movements on and off aircraft are accurately tracked and maintained.
The position plays a critical role in maintaining system accuracy, supporting compliance, and ensuring operational visibility across aircraft materials and configuration data.
Job Responsibilities Create and maintain powerplant and landing gear configurations in FMIS and ERRP for the airline fleet
Maintain accurate records of removals and installations within the FMIS database
Audit and update assemblies in FMIS when assemblies are returned from repair shops
Ensure accurate tracking of engine, APU, and landing gear hours and cycles, correcting discrepancies when identified
Monitor compliance of ADs and SBs for assemblies and coordinate with AD management to ensure accurate tracking
Perform routine audits of aircraft and assembly configurations to maintain system accuracy
Provide reports and statements for assemblies to internal departments, lessors, and vendors
Coordinate with FMIS support to resolve complex transaction errors using SQL scripts when standard corrections are not possible
Perform conversion of serialized non-rotable parts into rotable parts within system records
Coordinate with Engineering to validate interchangeability and effectivity of new rotable part numbers
Provide Supply Chain with newly identified rotable part numbers to support forecasting and stocking strategies
Configure fleet types in FMIS, including updates related to rotable conversions
Support Records and Materials teams in resolving part transaction issues and perform system updates when required
Perform ongoing part number tracking audits to ensure accuracy
Maintain familiarity with training requirements as defined in Section 100.03 Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure compliance prior to performing job functions
Perform additional duties to support operational and system objectives Authority Has authority to advise on revisions to the RDSOP and GMM Qualifications and Experience Must be available to work on site in Denver, Colorado
Preferred FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
Preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Proficient with FMIS systems
Demonstrated knowledge of Airbus IPC, AMM, and CMM documentation
Strongly preferred experience using AMOS and or TRAX systems for aircraft materials tracking and records management
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and web-based systems
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Able and willing to travel as required
