$115,000 - $130,000 + BonusFounded in the late 1970s, we are a U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing company with 250 employees nationwide and a major operations hub in Clearwater, Florida. We design and build advanced SATCOM terminals, manpack and fly-away systems, and ruggedized RF and antenna subsystems used by the U.S. military, federal agencies, and defense customers operating in demanding environments. Our Clearwater facility supports engineering, mechanical design, RF systems, production, testing, and lifecycle support for mission-critical SATCOM hardware. We serve DoD agencies, federal programs, prime defense contractors, and industrial clients requiring secure, reliable, and rapidly deployable communications systems.
Why this role is different: You will be the configuration authority for complex RF, mechanical, and electronic systems that directly support U.S. defense missions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you own baselines, change control, and product integrity across the full lifecycle.
What You Will Be DoingOwn configuration integrity, accuracy, and traceability for all product baselines across mechanical, electrical, RF, and system-level designsLead the Engineering Change process, including CCB oversight, ECR review, approval coordination, and implementationManage drawings, BOMs, models, and documentation through structured PLM workflows (Windchill or similar)Coordinate with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality to ensure accurate builds and on-time deliverySupervise and mentor the configuration management team, ensuring compliance with CM processes, documentation standards, and AS9100 requirementsRefine and enforce long-term change management processes aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standardsSupport audits, configuration verification, and status accounting activitiesWhat You Need for This Position10+ years of configuration management experience supporting complex engineered hardware systemsStrong proficiency with PLM systems such as Windchill, including version control, access control, and structured release workflows5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experienceDeep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and system-level documentation flows in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environmentExperience with AS9100, ITAR, and defense manufacturing complianceAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearanceStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, production, and program teamsWhat's In It for YouFull Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD/STD, 401k w/ matching) and more!
