The PSA is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's internal software, which includes those people who need to interact with the software. The PSA will manage the software as it relates to the issuance of Purchase Orders (POs), schedules and reports. The PSA is responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy of all content that is considered a system deliverable as defined by the Purchasing Manager. Essential Job Functions /
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with all peers and foster a team environment with internal and external customers
- Understand building plans, specifications, standard features and Scopes of Work, and ensure all POs comply
- Control trade category costs by utilizing right-cost methodology for cost, quality, productivity and service
- Provide constructive insight to the Accounting Dept on an as-needed basis
- Audit subcontractor agreed upon pricing regularly to ensure accurate budget pricing
- Analyze released POs to ensure costs match the master budget and align with assigned subcontractor agreed upon pricing
- Assist in field verification of material quantities
- Organize and electronically file information related to Purchasing Dept responsibilities
- Continuous training and education on company utilized software to ensure system is running at optimum
- Submit all rebate activities with quarterly report within 30 days of quarter end
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Associate Degree in Construction, Business, Accounting or other related field and /or minimum 1 year in similar position Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and paramount to all other skills and abilities Strong proficiency in the company's internal software following initial training program General proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Word and PowerPoint General knowledge of the construction/building process General knowledge of bid analysis, contracts and cost management Emphasis on quality of service is required Emphasis on customer orientation with the ability to adapt/respond to different personality types is required Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers are required Excellent problem-solving skills are required
