Job Description

Overview Responsible for development and/or implementation of automated staffing and related systems for the Shands Healthcare System (excluding Jax). This position requires gathering information from several sources, analyzing, and summarizing the information to draw conclusions and make decisions. Policies and knowledge of procedural framework are used with considerable discretion. The employee must assimilate customer requirements, utilize standard IS, methodologies, and gather information from various sources when designing solutions for business needs for projects with defined scope. This position is largely self-directed, working within a general framework established b management sot staffing systems. The employee may be required to access information considered 'confidential and protected' by the organization to achieve the implementation and maintenance of software systems. The employee must comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to the use, disclosure, and security of this information and policies related to security of the organization's information systems.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in application systems analysis, IT support, or a related technical role. Demonstrated experience in the following areas is required: Analyzing business processes and translating needs into technical solutions Testing applications, including User Acceptance Testing and performance monitoring Troubleshooting and resolving technical, database, or application issues Writing and maintaining technical documentation, process flows, and data dictionaries Working with SQL and reporting tools to extract, analyze, and manage data Managing or contributing to IT projects, including system upgrades or implementations Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, IT, and business users
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
NOTE:
A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
