Position Overview:
Located within the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), this position provides advanced technical leadership and administrative oversight for the University's Learning Management System (LMS) and related enterprise instructional technologies. The role is responsible for the strategic configuration, optimization, integration, and long-term sustainability of the LMS ecosystem. As the institutional LMS technical lead, this position manages system architecture, integrations, and data workflows; ensures reliability, security, and compliance; and supports institutional reporting and decision-making. The role collaborates closely with CETL staff, Office of Information Technology (OIT), vendors, and academic units to maintain a stable and scalable digital learning environment. This position also provides targeted instructional technology consultation to support faculty and instructional staff in the effective implementation of technology-enhanced teaching. This position may be eligible for remote work arrangements, subject to institutional approval and operational needs.
Required Experience:
Two years of higher education LMS administration experience Knowledge of LMS administration, including integrations, SIS imports, analytics, permissions, and system configuration Administering and supporting enterprise learning management systems Experience with HTML and CSS Translating complex data into actionable insights
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Network and Systems Administration and two additional years of LMS administration experience in higher education may substitute for Bachelor's degree
Required Other:
Technical documentation and communication skills Excel skills including pivot tables, data cleaning, and data visualization
Additional Preferred:
Experience managing LMS integrations and enterprise instructional technologies Experience supporting accessibility and usability standards in digital learning Experience with APIs, scripting, and automation Experience with institutional reporting and data analysis Experience with ticketing and service management systems Strong collaboration and customer-service orientation
