Job Description

at Doge Trucking LLC in Country Club Hills, Illinois, United States Job Description Responsible for using statistical modeling techniques and data analysis methods to support and improve fleet operations in a regional trucking environment.
Specific duties include:
analyze GPS, ELD, and telematics data to monitor delivery patterns, driver behavior, route deviations, and fuel efficiency; develop and maintain statistical models to forecast vehicle maintenance needs, downtime risks, and route scheduling optimization; apply regression analysis, multivariate methods, and time-series forecasting to support operational decision-making; automate data processing and reporting workflows using programming tools such as Python, R, or SAS; create and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery timeliness, fuel usage, mileage, and idle time; conduct scenario based analysis of routing and dispatch strategies to evaluate cost-saving alternatives and improve fleet utilization; identify inefficiencies or anomalies in route assignments and provide recommendations based on data trends; assist in establishing benchmarks and performance metrics for fleet and driver evaluation; collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to implement data-driven adjustments that improve delivery consistency and reduce fuel costs; document statistical methods, model assumptions, and analytical procedures for internal use and compliance; and prepare periodic reports summarizing operational trends, findings, and improvement opportunities for management review.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or closely related fields and two (2) years of experience in statistical analysis, data modeling, or applied quantitative methods in engineering, logistics, operations research, or a related field or occupation.
REQUIRED SKILLS
: Must have skills/expertise with the following: Statistical analysis techniques, including regression, time-series forecasting, and multivariate analysis; Data analysis tools such as Python, R, SAS, or equivalent programming/scripting environments; Interpreting and processing data from GPS, ELD, telematics, or other fleet management platforms; Creating dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar; Experience documenting methodologies and reporting results to non-technical teams; and Analytical problem-solving within logistics, transportation, or technical operations domains.
